This campaign is not just about a building. It is about you, and it’s about me and God using this moment to deepen our partnership with Him.

This page gives you all the information about our Above + Beyond campaign and how, within that, we plan to make the proposed changes to Sheep Street, which will enable this property to be used to its full potential. You will also find a breakdown of costs and how each one of us can consider how we might give.

We are convinced, more than ever, that this is God’s call to us as a whole church family and, if each of us are willing to take time to pray and seek God, we believe we can see something amazing take place.

Many of us call Central Vineyard home today because others in the past have chosen to invest in the future development of this church. Now, in this season, God is inviting us once again to step out in faith and obedience and go Above + Beyond.

Our Story

Central Vineyard is a growing church community of over 300 adults and children, gathering from across Northamptonshire. For the first 10 years of the church, we had a fairly nomadic existence, gathering in a number of different locations.

42 Sheep Street

Those nomadic 10 years came to an end in July 2016 when, as a church, we purchased 42 Sheep Street. Since being in this property, we have had the opportunity to develop the upper floor, creating a number of different spaces, including a modest worship space that will hold around 140 people.

With the continued growth of the church, in September 2017 we had a need to make more room and as a result launched two identical services on Sunday mornings at 9.30am and 11.15am.

A year later we are again in need of space as we continue to grow and multiply as a church. In this next season not only are we looking for space by the complete refurbishment of the lower floor of Sheep Street, but we are also taking the next step in becoming a multi-site church by launching a second Sunday location in Wellingborough.

The Process

THE ABOVE + BEYOND CAMPAIGN IS IN MANY WAYS ABOUT INCREASING OUR CAPACITY IN EVERY AREA OF THE CHURCH, BELOW IS THE PROCESS AHEAD OF US AS WE SEEK TO RAISE THE FUNDS NEEDED FOR THE NEXT CHAPTER

SEPTEMBER 2018

WELLINGBOROUGH SITE LAUNCH

16th September 2018

This September we will be launching our Wellingborough site. As we take this step to launch in a new location we need to invest in equipment needed to run all the things people would expect from a Central Vineyard Sunday service. There are obvious things like sound equipment to buy, but we also need equipment for Vineyard Kids, and all the catering equipment for the cafe.

APPROX COST: £12,000

EARLY OCTOBER 2018

DESIGN STAGE

6-8 Weeks \\ Starts 8th October 2018

This will include a full architectural construction design, with mechanical and electrical design. We’ll also engage with a structural engineer at this point and will submit plans for Building Regulation approval. We have to comply with the Health and Safety of the site and will need to submit the relevant Health and Safety forms to the executive.

APPROX COST: £22,000

MID OCTOBER 2018

MORTGAGE APPICATION

4-6 Weeks \\ Starts 15th October 2018

We are looking to part fund the refurbishment by extending our current mortgage on the property. During this time we will begin the mortgage application process, which will require a detailed business plan and a financial forecast. To re-mortgage there are some costs that will be incurred in its arrangement.

APPROX COST: £15,000

DECEMBER 2018

LOWER FLOOR REFURBISHMENT (PHASE 1)

16 Weeks \\ Starts 3rd December 2018

This is the big one, and will involve the complete make-over of the lower floor, which will include a new auditorium space for up to 350 with bi-folding doors leading into a new cafe / welcome foyer. There will also be a new uni-sex toilet block, a new kitchen and small meeting room off the welcome area. This will also include a new heating system, ventilation and all electrical work.

APPROX COST: £378,000

APRIL 2019

AUDIO VISUAL INSTALL

2 Weeks \\ Starts 1st April 2019

Once the main refurbishments are completed, we will be installing all the Audio and Visual equipment suitable for a room of this size. This will include new speakers, new projectors and a modest lighting rig hopefully servicing us for the next 20 years.

APPROX COST: £48,000

TBA 2019

ENTRANCE & LIFT (PHASE 2)

TBA Weeks \\ Starts TBA 2019

Once we have completed the lower floor refurbishment and move in, we can begin our second phase to modernise the entrance and install a lift. This will offer better disabled access to both floors. We will open up the lounge into a large balcony area overlooking the entrance. We would also like to refurbish the upper floor toilets into a similar uni-sex formation to the lower floor.

APPROX COST: £250,000

PLEASE NOTE:

Time scales and costs are approximate and subject to capital we raise and availability of contractor. All prices include VAT at 20%.

TBA 2019

KETTERING SITE LAUNCH

Over the next six years we want to continue to launch new sites of Central Vineyard across Northamptonshire. Our hope is to launch our third location in Kett ering at some point in 2019.

APPROX COST: £12,000

What Do We Need To Do?

IDEALLY, WE WOULD LIKE TO RAISE AS MUCH OF THE CAPITAL COST AS WE POSSIBLY CAN.

With the projected value of the property being approximately £800,000 we can realise a maximum of £240,000 in equity. In light of this our target would be to raise a further £235,000, through one-off donations and grant funding.

Our Target

PHASE 1 TOTAL: £475,000
